That seems unlikely. Let's say someone has a 7 a.m. start time, they are only supposed to be performing shutdown activities so maybe 2 hours max and then they have to leave. Even someone with a 9 a.m. start time is only supposed to be performing shutdown-related work during their working time and it seems unlikely they will get through the mechanizations of doing the vote and having Trump sign it in the morning. This all assumes they can wrangle enough votes in the house.
I remember a "shutdown" during the first Trump administration where we were told to all come in, were not permitted to work on anything (including shutdown tasks) and were told to get to work once the bill had passed (in the late morning, as I recall).
Management later apologized, saying that what they'd asked of us was inappropriate. But that's what I expect to happen on Monday, as well.

I read that Graham objected to the vote last night and they are trying to vote again today at 11. The House has a 72 hour recall rule so they won't reconvene until Monday. I think Monday afternoon is the earliest this gets resolved.

No they didn’t. If the Senate passes the compromise bills most agencies will be funded through the end of FY26.
DHS will have a 2 week CR so that negotiations can take place over how much money/oversight ICE will have. GOP wanted a 4 week CR for DHS, and the dems got a 2 week CR instead.

This only applies to agencies in the same bill that DHS is in, right? Agencies in other bills, like IRS, will be passed tomorrow by senate?
no. they all have to go back to the house. the house passed them individually but packaged them up in a single bill that was transmitted to the senate. breaking them up means they still have to go back to the house.

If they agree (big IF I suppose but Trump did tell them to play ball) it seems like they could just pass it first thing Monday morning and everyone can just stay at work since they have to report for shutdown procedures anyways.
last time we were able to telework for our orderly shutdown time, so a wise agency would probably do that again in the event congress got their act together

This only applies to agencies in the same bill that DHS is in, right? Agencies in other bills, like IRS, will be passed tomorrow by senate?
