Adult daughter who did not show concern for her parents. As they have lived in the DC area for 40 something years, they know how to handle ice and snow storms just fine.

I spoke with them on Wednesday about something else entirely and of course we talked about the storm, but no concern needed.

Honestly- no. I didn't check in. My parents have never taken my advice or help in the past, including when they actually asked for advice. They are always making terrible decisions. I save my energy for the emergencies because I no longer have the patience to give them advice that isn't followed and then have to help them on the back end when they ignore it. It's exhausting.
