Humans can think at high levels. It's how they made up religion and why they put their pets to sleep when they're old and in pain, but try to avoid their own death and make up stories about eternal life.

Why would a human not avoid death? Do you want to die? That’s an odd take.

Some people are mean to pets, what is your rationale for that?

I did an internship at a large manufacturing plant in eastern NC while I was in college and worked with two admins who were terrible. They were awful at their jobs, never could learn anything and were constantly undermining any woman who threatened them. They shared way too much info with me because I was a dumb kid and no threat to them. They were weird fundamentalists and believed in witches and the devil. They told everyone who worked for that company that the competent woman who worked in our department was a witch. When they had some work due and didn't get it done, one of them would claim to be sick and they would tell everyone the competent woman caused their illness. If a paper moved in the breeze on their desk, it was the competent woman casting evil spells. So many of the uneducated coworkers believed this crap and the competent woman was treated terribly. These two uneducated hillbillies manipulated so many people with this bullsht. They even said they saw the devil near the other woman's office.

One of my Aunts was a life long democrat but voted for that vile lump because she saw some image of HRC as evil while looking at her facebook.

I despise ignorant fundamentalists. The whole whole witch thing exists just to persecute innocent women who are too smart or too competent.
