Well Africa is 3.5x the size of the continental US so you’d have to be more specific where they went
Anonymous wrote:West coast to Boston (family), plane tickets were $4000 for a family of four. We used Alaska companion fare to get it to half price ($2k), then had to change the ticket which added $1k total. Other than that, had to rent a car for a couple days ($200), went on an overnight excursion while there, which was about another $1000. Also bought incidental groceries/meals while visiting family. So, a little north of $6k?
Anonymous wrote:That’s all in including 2 destination in Mexico so 4 flights - all direct. Maybe in lower season it would be 4-5k but my kid is in school then. Worth it to me.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Mexico. High season. 2 weeks 2 people $7000 including flights. Flights would prob be half and hotels 2/3 in a lower season. Other costs about the same. But also had to book activities earlier. Couldn't get tickets for Frida Khalo’s house
jesus, 7000 for 2 people to go to Mexico/

To where?
Anonymous wrote:We went to Miami for 4 nights/5 days post Christmas. Family of 4. Hotel was $2800 for a double room, Marriott resort . Rental car was $500. Flights were $2k. 1k on food/entertainment/activities.
Weather was nice, but resort was so busy service really suffered and will make us think next time.

Tell us more. Must have been for a pack of dogs! Or more than 5 nights away
Yes had to drop off a night early because of early flight and then didn’t pick up until two mornings after we got home since they were closed for the holiday. More than one dog, luxury suite. Ridiculous imo.
Why do your dogs need a "luxury suite"?
Anonymous wrote:Skiing in upstate NY. About 3000 for 3 people for 6 nights. Includes AirBnB, lift tickets, and food.

~2.5k pp flights, 5-600/night hotels which mostly include activities and often food
Ends up similar to the skiers
Interesting. The “hotels” looked a little too rough for my liking but that makes sense that they are so inexpensive.
