Or use the locks on the Amazon link provided by another poster up thread.

I was just in Europe women were getting robbed left and right with their cross bodies that did not have locks.

Did you actually see this happening? It sounds like a complete exaggeration. I've been in different parts of Europe quite a few times, spending 99% of the time in very touristy destinations (so where people always say pickpocketing happens), and NEVER seen a pickpocket, and always carry a crossbody or backpack.

You don't travel much do you?

We were just in Italy three people on our tour were pick pocketed.

Paris two friends got their wallets stolen a month ago.

Barcelona same.

Peru three .....

You don't a "see pickpocket" moron.

Not that it matters, but in the past 18 months, my trips have included: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Paris, Bahamas, Orlando, London, Edinburgh, Boston, Phoenix, NYC, Tokyo (again), Osaka, Bangkok (again), and Turks and Caicos, so I do travel a good deal.

Looks good for bags with 2 zipper pulls to connect. Most purses have just one. 🤔 Hard to image how it could work.

You've probably been fortunate, perhaps visited at a time when they city was not being hit - think the gangs move from city to city.

Generally speaking, a lot of theft happens on or near trains/stations.

I lived and worked in West Africa for awhile. PC volunteers and travelers would buy crossbody leather pouches with a braided cord then string a rubber coated wire through it to thwart such attempts.

they stopped a crossbody tote line (DK name) I really wanted in black, then they picked it up again a few years later and I got one. The sales clerk told me that the brand phased it out, but reversed course after so much protest from shoppers and clerks - losing sales as folks wanted that specific bag and walking out if not available rather than buying another line.

I have this and get so much use out of it as a city dweller/transit maven.

I only have 1 bag, a Hermès Kelly 28. Vintage. It goes with me everywhere and matches everything. I have never had a problem with theft in any country. And I've traveled to 35 countries (including Antarctica!)

I used this last summer and it worked very well. Not fashionable but it does the job.

I have a travelon bag with extra zippers and lock, crossbody I wear for travel. In high risk situations such as if we're going on a train/subway/crowds and I have to have my passport with me while in transit, I wear a travel pouch under clothing. It is absolutely necessary because pickpockets are skilled and everywhere and it's impossible to have guard up 100% of the time/they will try and distract you.
