I also like Hallie and Holly. More old fashioned but classics.

I love the name Hayden for a girl.

The only Haylee that I know was born in 2005. Sweet girl, sweet name.

I like Haley or Hailey but I also like Halle, Hadley and Ansley.

I wonder whyyyyy some of you wouldn't take an adult Hailey "seriously" but think say, Thomas sounds great. Hmmmmmmmm. I don't think it's just the -y thing. I am thinking Timothy and Jeremy are just great, right? Hmmmm.

Do you also ignore resumes that say Shameka at the top? Would you prefer Elizabeth?

All that to say..... I wish you guys would publish your naming standards and practices so we can all get in line with great waspy classy patrician sounding names! You definitely seem like great people we should all be listening to.

I have known people named Clementine and Bear, and also think Clover is an excellent name for a dog.

It’s not the fault of parents that people decide to name their dogs human names. Hailey/Hayley is a human name. People should stick to naming their dogs Clover, Clementine, Bear, Fern, etc. Leave the “unique” names for your dog, and give your children somewhat normal names.

Nowadays, the dogs have human names and the humans (children) have dog names.

NP but it seems like you failed to grasp that half of the names PP listed were names of actual, powerful, "serious" adult women. Like sure, in the vacuum of your own imagination, you might find the names Nikki and Carly to be unserious or more suitable for a dog. But in the real world where we all currently life, these are the names of the former US ambassador to the UN and the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Setting aside any political disagreements you might have with those women, they are serious people with important and impressive careers. So here are some accomplished adult humans with these names that you claim are unserious dog names. Hmmm.

They are also incredibly common names, as is Lori. Common HUMAN names. So lots and lots of people with these names. School teachers. Doctors. City council members.

Meanwhile, there are people with what you consider to be "serious" names who are criminals, failure to launch adults, professional dog walkers, etc. I even know dogs names stuff like Nora and Ruth, which you probably believe are more "serious" names.

It's almost like what you think is a "serious" name or a "golden retriever" name is a totally made up categorization that has zero relevance to real life.

Real question: are YOU a golden retriever?
