This is funny-- if WES, NPS or St. Pats had a high school, we wouldn't be looking at boarding schools! I'll never understand why when high school rolls around in DC, its either INTENSE single sex or too liberal to function.

Every class is different. But both have strong outplacement, they normally post to where.

Academically very weak and I’m hearing from my kids peers entering their outplacement schools far behind of where they should be and requiring tutors. I’d stay far away from NPS.

This is laughable. They don’t know how to implement that philosophy. Many teachers focus on punishment v. discipline and seem to have forgotten that boys learn differently from girls. Any elementary school that takes away recess from kids for alleged “behavior” issues doesn’t understand child development. Our brief time there was not joyous and sucked the life out of our child.

This is so ridiculous. NPS heard the problems with disciplining boys in the past and now with most boys staying there has been a turnaround. class by class. The outplacement this year was great. People get so bitter when they are waitlisted.

Our child was well prepared coming out of NPS. We got into every school we applied...even a big three. NPS outplacement was great. We have gotten straight As at our new school. Friends from our class report the same.

NPS has been an excellent experience for us. Outplacement this year looked impressive. Great families. And faculty and admins are wonderful. Prob not for everyone but has been a great fit for our child and parents.

It seems like you may also need a tutor. Are you a current parent? How do you know anything about the kids entering outplacement schools?

Because we’ve kept in touch with NPS families from when we were there. It’s really not that complicated, but I can recommend a great tutor to help you along with all of it.
