A student disciplined enough to earn that score and those grades is disciplined enough to get in shape.

Improving her fitness will benefit her more than a degree.

But she and we don't even have a clue where to start looking beyond the academies and major engineering colleges that she would have settled for for NROTC but isn't a fan of on their own. Cost isn't a huge issue since she has my GI Bill.

I personally know someone who did not follow through with the service academies because of the fitness requirements and a similar situation. She went to Purdue for engineering, had a great experience and is in a fantastic career. No regrets and she recommends Purdue to everyone she knows. She also loved it socially and said it was the perfect combination of academics but things to do.
