Anyways you had a sh!t husband who is crying poverty in order to deny you marital assets as you deal with failing health alone. You do not have to pay an attorney up front. They’ll take a percentage of whatever they collect for you in the divorce. You need a consultation with an attorney ASAP. They’ll be drooling when they find out there’s no prenup. They’ll string him by a foot and shake out every penny.

The car my 1 son was driving had already had 3 owners and 14 years and 190K miles. It just died
We’re super lucky our younger daughter got into an accident without injuring anyone else, or herself, she wasn’t drinking or doing anything else illegal. She didn’t end up in jail or in a hospital and no one else did.
No one’s crying broke. We’re just figuring it out and at this time on my end it felt like if I had a buyer I could come into some different cash since my ex is apparently in FU mode this month.
Bet you’ll get a letter a few months from now about the on going neck/back of the person she hit!

Yeah it’s strange. But at this point (in our 60s) lawyer fees could just buy new cars.
Or pay for Ubers.
I’m truly thinking of relying on Ubers. I did it in my life when I grew up in NYC.
I could do it again and I don’t need to even stand out in a street

I worked while putting him through grad school and then double grad school.
Our state does not recognize legal separation, we’re still legally married.
I didn’t cheat on him, I raised all the kids myself, he chose to move a coworker into his apartment which is a country club penthouse.
He can go fish. He won’t ever divorce me because I didn’t do anything wrong and our adult kids have no memory of his ever having lived in the same house
I am just thinking of not buying a car because I don’t get out anymore and if it’s seeming like I only need $30 at a time to get to my medical appointments, maybe $60 round trip that feels like … ok ???????????
