JMU will get blown out when they play Indiana or whoever they face.

And where is the value there?

JMU has no business at this level. It's a participation trophy.

Cignetti took 13 JMU players when he left. So IU winning team is JMU players!

It’s the UVA people. They’re all about affirmation.

Can you just be happy for the JMU D1 students accomplishments? This is a parent forum... I bet your kid can't even throw a ball!

As a JMU alum, I am not happy that JMU made the CFP playoff because it takes away the spot for teams like Vandy, ND, or Texas. JMU is in the playoff is like the version of "affirmative action" of the CFP. I am not going to book my ticket to Eugene to see my beloved Dukes to get boat race by the Ducks.

Be honest...if JMU was playing @Miami in the first round, you would probably try to go (if you are someone that goes to games). I get not wanting to travel to Oregon in December, probably to see them lose.

People hate JMU because they punch above their weight and have enjoyed continued success. FCS to CFP in four years is an amazing story that will never happen again. Embrace the hate JMU.

I think it was the 5 losses that shafted them.

Huh? DEI is quite the bogeyman for you people. Anything you don’t like, you just blame on DEI.

People really think JMU and Tulane are better than Texas, Vandy, BYU, and ND? That’s like comparing the NBA to the G league. If that’s not DEI in action, I’m not sure what is.

No one said that. 5 highest rated conference champs and 7 at large. Them the rules. It will be changed again so only SEC, B10 and ND can compete.

I hope Oregon will beat JMU by 50 points so that JMU can walk around in shame, knowing that they do not belong with the big boys.

Why choose mean when you can choose kindness?

NP: Because JMU is benefitting from a ridiculous system. To their credit, they did not do something bad to take advantage of it (so I think the OP is being a bit too much of a jerk) but it is ridiculous that JMU is getting to do this and perhaps by them getting slaughtered the powers that be will realize how dumb it is.

CFP is the only sport that public doesn't root for a Cinderella.

I'm rooting for them! But I know they're almost certainly going to get pummeled. Hope I'm wrong.
