Heel is too high and looks cheesy. Go for something with a less chunky and lower heel.

Staud Wally Boot. Classy and lower heel. Looks great with longer skirts and dresses. Wearing knee high boots with a skirt that doesn't reach them is not fashionable, but Wallys with a midi skirt or longer look chic.

PP here. It's DC. I don't consider being a lawyer a flex. It started with the question of where you would even wear knee high boots. The suggestion that DC women are plain as can be. Lawyers are usually pretty plain. That why I mentioned the lawyer part. Some of us hate that this is what DC has become. It was not always that way. Are you insecure b/c why are you harping on the lawyer thing. It's DC.
