No early action option. 14% admit rate for a super expensive school without even the ability to see a classroom or dining hall. No campus. Nursing school is uptown or in Brooklyn. Tisch is the only reason to consider NYU. My child is majoring in Business and it just doesn’t make financial sense to apply ED with a 92k price tag as a donut hole family.
SUNY flagships are great for 37k a year out of state.
You are paying for the name. At 92k a year, there are other options that you can apply EA and hope for merit aid.
The "tour" was such a joke! No one told the tour guides that the library (the one building on the tour) was closed for some reason, and they didn't have any back-up building for us to peek inside. Show us the gym, at least! Yet, the admission made a big stink about dispensing and collecting name tag stickers before and after the tour. Why the strict security for an exclusively outdoor tour? I grew up in NYC (went to Stuy). We interacted with fewer NYU students than, say, shopping at GU/Uniqlo.

NYC is about to turn into a violent sh!t hole war-zone under Mamdani. It is the last place I would send my child to study.
Rightists have told me that NYC and SF are circling the drain about 6 or 7 times during my life but it hasn’t happened yet.
Perhaps, there is another concealed motivation here.
