That sounds delicious. I would probably want a vegetable on the side.
That raises an interesting point. Why does the soup have to be the whole meal to count. Hardly anyone eats just a steak with no side vegetable or potato, but no one would say steak isn't a meal.

Who are these people you are cooking for? Teens, friends, boomers, obese people with huge appetites? Soup is really filling for thin people but maybe not for fat people.
NP and the three people in my life who are overtly “soup isn’t a meal” people are all very fit. What’s your problem?

Yeah, I don't get why people need to be convinced. I don't care for soup. I will eat certain soups that I prepare myself, just the way I like (I don't like them liquidy so they'll be more like marinated beans and vegetables). I am picturing someone trying to serve me all different kinds of soups until they convert me into a soup person, but why?
Agree 100%. I’ve yet to encounter anyone beyond my MIL and aunts that love soup and chatter about soup. I’ve never heard friends or co workers talk about or bring soup. I’ve never seen anyone order soup at a restaurant. Never been to a dinner party or event that served soup.
I wonder if it’s just a few people on this board.
I get Ramen and Pho but those don’t seem to be in the mix with the soup pusher.
You really think that it’s just a few people on this board who like soup???

Anonymous wrote:My kid made cheddar broccoli soup with 2 packets of cheddar broccoli, a whole family sized bag of broccoli, onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, leeks, cauliflower, spinach, better than boullion, brewers yeast, milk, cheddar cheese, ground up hemp seed. It was fabulous. 8 huge cups of stew/soup. Just amazing. I was full.
