The President and First Lady deliver remarks at a Christmas Reception

Closed press, so probably Melania trotting him out for 5 minutes and back again.

Exactly!
Compare with Obama's schedule!! ( Ignore Biden's schedule.)

Two tiny events!! Same remarks. 5 mins max!! The POTUS is working for about 10 mins today.

My 85 year old grandmother went to church and made Sunday dinner for 9 people so far today! She's busy entertaining grandchildren right now, and she's taking them out to run around the park (with their dads) soon!!

She will come home and put another meal together before the day is done (she loves to cook), plus read half a novel before she goes to bed.

Gramma should be POTUS!! She'll get a lot more done!!

They actually prefer him sleeping in Cabinet meetings. Impeachment won't happen because there aren't 13 GOP senators who will vote country over party. So, once again, keep feeding him those BIG MACS and cholesterol DO YOUR JOB!

And two-bite hot dogs at the golf course, and, apparently, lots of ice cream.

There was a podcast where it was said that not only does he obviously fall asleep in cabinet meetings, but that because cameras are on, no one wants to be the one to poke Grandpa to wake up and endure his subsequent wrath as a consequence.

It's honestly not really beyond the pale to imagine that one day he falls asleep in his chair during one of these meetings ... and just doesn't get back up out of the chair, unless he slumps and falls out of it first.

It wouldn't have been wild to think that the same thing could also have happened to Biden.

Old people be old people.

Yes, but it would have been years before Biden was this bad, and Biden had a much higher intellectual baseline.

You think Republicans are going to put country over party any time soon? I'll have some of what you're smoking! The whole GOP -- top to bottom -- is full of craven partisans who'll happily kick a puppy if they think it'd score some political points.

Maybe MTG is the canary in the coal mine. At some point - soon? - there will be too much pressure from the public to leave Trump unchecked in office.

They will buy off MTG.

Her net worth since 2017 (first term) has gone from
$3 million to $25 million. She doesn't need to be bought off.

lol you think 25m is “enough” to motivate MTG to continue this attention grab and actually follow through?

That’s hysterical.

Ditto removing him via 25th amendment.

It ain't happening even if Ds gain control. The only way it can happen is if they have a vast majority of seats which I don't see happening.

The House is capable of swinging by enough seats to get him impeached. But there's no way there's ever going to be anywhere near the 67 votes in the Senate it would take to get him removed. Sad!

True, but I could see a scenario where Vance gets scared about his 2028 chances, and corrals cabinet members to support removal via the 25th Amendment. But Trump would have to decline much more to give the party cover to do that.

Why would a king allow midterm elections?

+1, it’s sad and dismaying that people here still believe there’s going to be midterms.

We are sooooo far beyond the last election we’ll see for decades. Wake up, folks. It’s time to start implementing your escape plans. While you still can.

I want to believe that's true. Truly, I do! But time and again, when push comes to shove Republicans always, always fall in line. The GOP had two chances in his first term to wash their hands of him, and the best they could do to meet the moment was Susan Collins' firm belief that he had learned his lesson and some mealymouthed soul searching from a lame duck Mitt Romney.

It is rumored that she is trying to get nine votes for a Motion to Vacate to get rid of Johnson. Getting rid of Johnson would beca huge blow to trump.

On the other hand, Trump is our first lady and we can't get rid of them.

He’s truly the Marie Antoinette of our time.
