I assume most clubs will treat this like grad year, as the point on the girls side is recruiting.
You have no idea about this and are repeating what someone else said.
The truth is that playing with your grade makes the most sense when it comes to being recruited for college.
Ok then let yout young Aug/Sept player play down a grade in school. Pay full price for competitive soccer and watch your kid get ignored by college coaches when its time for recruitment.
No, when I pay the bills I make the decisions. Sorry coach.

Great for her to play multiple sports. It's a much better way to remember childhood and to have multiple interests when you get older to become a more well rounded person. Unfortunately competition on the boys side is making it very difficult to play a high level at multiple sports in these urban areas and monster sized schools.Anonymous wrote:If my August 2012 8th grader doesn’t play ‘up’ with her current team next year, she’s switching to volleyball and crew. It’s her call. If she played ‘down’ next year she’d miss a lot of practices because she’d also be playing on her high school team.
I’ve been honest with her since the podcast last year. I have no preference, just want her to be happy.

You’ve ruined countless other threads with your views on august players playing their appropriate age groups. You’ve stated your views, move on. Let this thread be about something else.
