Yes communications background is also good for sales engineer in tech where you support product and run demos; in finance we also need them for investor relations.

The way around this is to get the job you suggest and meet them in the workplace. Oil and gas starting salary at a major is $175 - I’m in HR. It’s highly competitive and we hire communications professionals. Don’t look at the data science positions unless you have a proven track record - we cannot see beyond your degree. If you go for a Masters in CS we might recognize you have talent. Otherwise just swim in your lane.

My CEOs husband just shows up at a work event now and then. Tall good looking white guy with full head of hair and shakes hands. He has not worked in 20 years.
My neighbor is married to a lady who is a Harvard Doctor I know lots of guys who do it.
I was offered to marry two girls whose parents were multi multi millionaires. Like crazy rich. Both times her and parents had tons of money but the Dad was a Jeff Bezos types. But girls were nice, hot bodies but average faces a little short. Rich Jeff Bezos type Dad married a trophy wife. But him being short, average looking, balding he still had his ugly genes mixed in.
They saw me at six foot two inch, 190 pounds, very good looking in shape and smart as something to “breed” their 1/2 good looking daughter with. To me was not worth the price.
The one girl her sister married a really good looking dead broke guys and has amazing looking kids.
Her after I broke up. She got knocked up some average dumpy guys and kids are all average dumpy kids and community college type IQs.
So a pretty broke girl or guy this is path. Rich and Ugly, average and middle class or Good looking and Poor
My insanity I went poor and Beautiful and my wife went poor and handsome.
I rolled dice, why do people here not facing facts these are choices poor people have to face
And nonsense of savings to get rich. My daughters friend who lives at home, is 25, drives a used car, has student loans and is a day care worker all she has going for her is she is a pretty, nice, easy going, hard worker, loves kids and wants kids. She has a negative net worth.
Next month she is marrying a 27 year old guy whose parents own a big seafood restaurant in the water on Long Island. Family also has a big house on the property. It is a cash cow. The son is taking over business, she is moving in, will have kids, he and get will inherit everything and parents excited as the pretty nice girl wants several kids and wants to help
Son run restaurant.
So exactly how is she saving on her own to get rich. Next month she will be richer than 99 percent of people. The place is out by the Hamptons I not be suprised if building alone worth 20 million, it seats 300 and waterfront

Hampton is pretty quiet from October to May, no one is making big bucks there running a service business unless you work io
n NYC and have a summer house there.

My sister went to an Ivy League and ended up in finance. She then moved to a headhunting firm that specialized in finance placements and moved her way up. By the time she was 31, she made over 400k. Now she consistently makes between 600k and over 800k. Does she feel rich…hell no. Is she comfortable financially? Yes. She is part of the working rich.

I would also lean into your quant background. FP&A or similar. If you want to go that route, I would recommend looking into what you would need to do to pass the CPA.
What industry are you in and what type of company are you at, what do you have a passion for, and what are you good at and want to do more of?
PP here without CPA or CFA, just do a good job and job hop every 2 years, the cap for non-ambitious ppl is 300k (senior IC).

I would also lean into your quant background. FP&A or similar. If you want to go that route, I would recommend looking into what you would need to do to pass the CPA.

That's the MRS degree is the best one for OP.
Men are like Horses. Admit it. Unless you are rich enough to buy a horse that won the Kentucky Derby already your only choice is to pick a horse you think will win that has not yet won yet.
Then groom him, train him well enough to win place or show.
I will give a real world example. I have a bachelor I know around 33. He has a weird beard, hair a bit messy clothes a little dated and wrinkled. Nice enough guy, but he really has no guidance. He is like a puppy dog, you tell him he will do it. But lacks any independent thought and is not self aware unless told point blank and then you take the time to show him.
Like literrally take him to clothes store, litterally cut his hair. Make sure he leaves house well dressed and prepared. I am pretty sure this guy could be a SVP in 6-8 years. But he has no guidance.
