Obama was about as centrist and middle of the road as you can get. Even his signature health care plan was a Republican plan - back in the day when Republicans still cared about health care. Obama was an extremely successful two term president because he was pragmatic, was guided by common sense, and was a fundamentally decent and empathetic person.
If Democrats could get back to that, they’d win forever. But the Mamdanis and Charles Allen types are the core of the Democratic Party today. And that’s not winning national elections. People really hate the soft on crime, endless illegal immigration, and race based hiring that this generation of Democrats espouse.
Democrats have a policy problem. The Biden years were a disaster for Democrats. And until that gets sorted out, they’re going to have to tough time in national elections - especially once Trump is gone.
I don’t think you understand how much a black president messed up the nation’s psyche. All the decorum goes and anything is possible after that.
Maybe you're just surprised how much we were tip toing around now that we don't feel like we need to anymore.
I am surprised that Republicans are now openly endorsing Nazis and Hitler, yes.
Yawn. You have made calling people racist, nazis, and Hitler so commonplace that no one listens anymore.

And you have made calling people on the left socialist, communist, snowflake, woke, and coastal elite so mundane that you don’t get a rise out of us anymore. Hopefully you’ll pick up some new terms in the future and change it up a little bit.
Folks, folks.. let's all chill and take a look at facts. The cause of the frequent pendulum swings since 2017 hasn't been Nazis, snowflakes, communists, racists, or elites. We've had two very elderly and very unfit presidents with historically low job approval ratings. It's as simple as that. If you've grown tired of the divisiveness that comes with these frequent and drastic pendulum swings, stop electing elderly unfit people.
None of this is rocket science. It's political science 101.
Weve had this (minus the elderly part) before this. It’s just that some here were too young to remember.

For the love of God… please give the “elderly unfit” presidents line a rest already. You post this daily on multiple threads.

No, people grew fatigued and resentful for being called a racist because they didn't agree with some of the presidential ideas. Everything was labeled a racist attack if you disagreed with Obama.
Posting this opinion will get me attacked as a racist, which in this day and age carries no meaning anymore.
Please. None other than John McCain corrected a voter who made a racist attack against Obama. McCain obviously disagreed with Obama a lot and did so without being racist.
