I hate to bring politics into this, but I would bet that the happy, successful family with the sorority wife is conservative, and the angry sarcastic woman is a Kamala loving lib.

Anyone who finds their way to the phrase "Kamala loving lib" does not "hate to bring politics into this." I'm pretty sure you find a way to bring politics into discussions about sports, family, weather, chili recipes and anything else that might crop up when talking with the people who aren't bored of you yet.

DP. You presented a very white Southern stereotype of a sorority, which says more about you than about any of the women you address.

in my experience, that describes sorority girls of all races. are you saying that non-Whites lack those traits or don't value them?

I knew my husband when we were in college, although we only dated for one semester when we were there. I knew him well enough to know that he was not « run[ning] through » a bunch of random sorority women. He actually liked and respected the women he knew, and still does today.

I’m guessing that people around you see you for who you are. It’s difficult to hide certain traits.

totally agree. this could be written almost verbatim about my wife (aside from the fact that she went to college at UNC). it's hard to say whether being in a sorority makes somebody into good wife material, or if sororities simply attract the type of women who are destined to be the best wives. but there is certainly a correlation between being in a sorority and being an amazing wife.
