I use nespresso pods and they’ve gone up but it’s not crazy.
I think I see the problem. 🙂

I stopped in last weekend and the owner rang me up and told me the tiny cup was $4.50! I sarcastically said "Are you sure?" and he felt so embarrassed he created a new button on his touch screen to revert the price back to $2.75.
"You're right, that doesn't sound right, let me fix that."
Sorry but who in the heck is going to pay $4.50 for a tiny cup of drip coffee in a normal suburb? To top it off, I walked out and the coffee was luke warm! I wouldn't have wanted it for free.
You must not live in the DC area pp...coffee hasn't been under 5$ for a cup for a decade.

I don't believe that and no, it's not part of MAHA. It's part of you trying to spin it as a political issue.

Even the expensive stuff only costs $40 a pound, and that would last a month or two.
Cheap brand name stuff is only like $10 a pound or less. If you cannot afford that, then stop drinking the stuff.

I did buy a bag of Russett potatoes today for $3.99 and felt like that was a huge win, luckily we all like potatoes.

Folgers, Please.
I rather quit cold turkey or switch to tea.

Yes there is inflation, but for the moment it's quite contained. People who are struggling with food prices now are operating on exceptionally tight budgets.
DH and I both have jobs and can’t help but notice how much food prices, along with everything else, have gone up. I don’t know why people are justifying the increased prices or saying to do without. The prices are increased due to government policies such as tariffs. It’s reality, and it’s annoying.
PP you replied to. DCUM is mostly Democratic and very much against tariffs and the current administration. The best way to get through the next few years is by being rational, instead of hysterical, OP.
Prices have increased. They will continue to do so. If you want to do something about it, you need to volunteer and donate to efforts pushing for a change in party at the top.
Surely you understand this.
