Subject: What's for dinner tonight?
We are very basic cooks and I like fast and/or easy meals. Family of 5 with 3 growing boys. This week we are eating
Meatloaf, roast potatoes, green beans
“Marry me chicken” over pasta, salad
Grilled steak and veggies with Mac and cheese
Chicken veggie curry with rice
Honey garlic glazed, mashed potatoes, salad
My kids are also big on Shepard’s pie and pasta bakes/lasagne
I do easy unfussy versions of all of the above.

13:26 cook after trimming as best I can. Ugh. Memo to self ask to see them before wrapping.

Loin lamb chops, broccoli. Pasta or baguette.
I got the chops at the butcher for special meal but seeing what the ones they wrapped for me look like (half fat) I will cook them tonight. Reminds me of the old Haymarket produce stalls. If you know you know.

Dinner tonight is what I just made -- a "Mexican Bean Bake" I saw on a Youtube video made by someone I follow who makes recipes from vintage cookbooks. 1c bisquick mixed in with a can of refried beans, a small can of green chiles, and a 1/4 c salsa, put into a baking pan and topped with 3/4 c salsa and shredded cheddar and baked for 1/2 an hour. Topped with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Served with Spanish rice. It's one of my fave dinners.

My boys love chickpea coconut curry (if it's not authentic, I really don't care, that's not the point).
I just wing it, but this recipe is close to how I make it
