The 1811 agencies are going strong. Go the sworn route, but be prepared to run the intense application process gauntlet.

Here is a fun fact, military bases are required by law (thanks to Congress and to "Al Gore Reinventing Government") to buy via the monopolistic commercially-outsourced "base supply store" -- even when Staples, Office Depot, or other suppliers have the exact same items for about 20% lower cost.

Agreed.

Even most Feds would agree there was a lot of wasted spending in the government. The pity of it all is that they used a chain saw, but needed to use a scalpel.
