Wouldn’t put any credibility into any of the rankings. You get out of any college exactly as much as you put in. The most important thing is that you like it, that it has the depth of knowledge in the area you seek to master, and the size/location is right for you. NEVER make the mistake of aspiring to any school in name only. When I interview college grads for positions I’m only interested in one thing….have you held any summer internships in the field you chose to pursue and where?

Rankings changed so a measure is social mobility. Wake filled w rich kids, so went down. They got rid of things like percentage of alumni giving, which also favored rich alumni bases with people in finance etc.

UVA acceptance rate in-state is 23%, Wake is 20% overall. Only harder if you are out-of state/international.

100x agree. The naviance for our school has almost the exact same numbers and overlap of green checks with W&L and Wake. Emory and UVA (in state) also quite similar. Nephew is in NC and Wake is harder admit than UNCCH in state, but almost exactly the same as Emory, top private school in Charlotte. Yes we share naviance data its great to compare.

UVA is much harder to get into than Wake. For good reason. Much better school, higher ranked overall, and higher ranked programs.
