Dollars to donuts that's what's happening.
However, Russia has been up to a lot of shenanigans recently.

Anonymous wrote:No matter the reason, this is frightening. Maybe it's:
A) Something awful, involving other countries, is expected to happen soon.
B) Hegseth is too dumb to realize the optics of this.
C) Trump has decided to go after Russia. Lately his talk about Putin has changed, plus Russia/China/North Korea are making sure everyone remembers they're good buddies.
D) They are planning to increase attacks on Americans they disagree with and expect to involve all branches of the military.
E) There will be a major military shakeup, causing great instability in the U.S. and abroad.
No matter what, Hegseth is obviously too dumb to realize that putting all of our top leaders in one place is bad, very bad. I actually wonder if I should start making plans with my family for meeting places in case of severe actions. I tend to be level-headed (I've been called an under-reactor) but this meeting is not normal.

Oh, STFU. You dont even know the reason.

The good ones are absolutely seething. The US military is the most powerful force in the world because it is professional and non-partisan. They swear an oath to the Constitution, not to the political hacks of the day.
But Trump and Hegseth are really moving hard to turn the military into a banana republic force that is nothing more than the lethal arm of the Republican Party, which is a cult of personality today. The party of Reagan, both Bushes, Romney, and McCain is dead.
It’s a dangerous time. It’s probably not a coincidence that Trump and Hegseth are meeting with Erdogan today. Lots of lessons to be learned from how Turkey has used the military to subvert democracy and embrace the cult of personality.
Republicans are a real threat to national security today.
You sound like a commonist!
