First domino has fallen. Let the exodus of players begin….

Most can’t get out of here fast enough.

NE had nothing to do with keeping the team together, in fact polar opposite. His personal situation just further reinforced what a clown show the LUFC leadership is and was yet another reason for COACH and players to look elsewhere.

Embezzlement? We all knew about the multiple affairs but haven't seen any information on embezzlement? Where did you get that?

Where did you see embezzlement? Never mentioned.

How much does a USL-C coach make on average? Is it true the players cap out at $2k/monthly?

AI answers:

USL Championship player salaries vary widely, but the average is between $40,000 and $50,000 per season.

The minimum compensation for players is $2,700per month, which often includes a combination of salary, housing, and bonuses.

Top-tier players with experience can earn close to $100,000 per season or more.

Salary breakdown
Average: Between $40,000 and $50,000 per season.
Minimum: $2,700 per month, as established by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This amount is a total of salary, bonuses, housing, and medical insurance.
Top players: May earn $100,000 or more per season.

USL Championship coach salaries vary significantly, with head coaches typically earning between $40,000 and $100,000 annually, though some high-profile positions can be higher. For example, some head coach job postings advertise a salary range of $125,000 to $175,000, while assistant coach positions and those in lower divisions like League One and League Two generally pay less.

Well, if LU is actually wasting that kind of money on those “players” it is no surprise they have massive financial losses. That garbage is unsustainable. Albeit, it might be fixed starting next summer with Revolution parents footing the bill.

Forgot to add - grass will be greener anywhere these guys go based on the current (lack of) leadership and lack of structure and lack of commitment to winning at LUFC.

The whole relationship with DC United was just a mess as the MLS decided to start their own developmental 2nd teams with MLS Next Pro. It worked for a minute when the USL and MLS still had a relationship. Prior to Loudoun United being created, that developmental relationship was with Richmond Kickers and it was a good one, IMO. It seems like LU was kinda stuck in no man's land with no clear relationship with a first team, a facility that wasn't very attractive to watch a match and a history that really was not existent. Good Luck in the future for sure.
