Yeah, that crap gets thrown away or put away by mom to put in their lunchbox later.

We give full-sized white Hershey's Cookies-n-Cream bars (we get three cases and they're snatched up quickly), full-sized Sour Patch Kids, and full-sized Reese's Cups. If anything is left, it's usually the Reese's Cups. We used to do Skittles too but, now that they're on the Millennial blacklist and I don't want the moms to freak out when they see them, we have just doubled-up on everything else.

I am really fine if their moms put it in their lunchbox. I am never left with any treats after Halloween. Someone is using it. Infact, I am tempted to completely get rid of the candy and only put these snack packs.

Oh FFS, you're missing the whole point of Halloween for kids! Get a ton of candy, eat half of it while you're out trick-or-treating and then ration it out with great organization and ritual to last until Christmas. If it's just to give your mom for the lunchbox, you might as well be just some lady working at Costco!

Nope. I am all for undercutting the stupid cultural norms of over-consumption for obese people and making my own traditions.

I love to miss the whole point of Halloween, just like I like to tell children that Santa does not exist.

Are Pringles healthier than m&ms?

Don’t you dare remove snickers or peanut m&m’s. Those are my favorites and I always end up taking them from the kids.

I believe Snickers is a top seller as a stand-alone and a handout.

I hate them. The only common candies I hated more were evil fraternal twins Almond Joy and Mounds.

Nobody is going to refuse it but it’s not exactly a coveted treat. You could give away nickels or raisins and conclude that because they weren’t refused, they must be popular. Kids will take whatever is offered.

A few years ago I started having 3 bowls for trick-or-treaters, and told them they could choose 2 items. One bowl has chocolate candies, one bowl has nut free candies, and the third bowl has cheap trinkets in it. I have been absolutely shocked by how many kids go for the cheap trinkets. Even some of the upper elementary kids do! One year I had bags of something for toddlers (maybe Goldfish crackers?) and bigger kids chose those. A surprising number of kids will pick non candy items.

We throw them away every year. I’m sure my kids are excited to get them but they never ask for them or eat them.

Peanut m&ms. It's the only one on the list that neither of my kids will eat.

DC1 loves skittles and regular m&ms (plus smarties and starburst, not that you asked about those). DC2 loves snickers, skittles, sour patch kids, and ring pops. Neither will touch peanut m&ms, whoppers, or almond joy.

Snickers. They are impossible to give away and always hang around the house in the candy bag with no one eating them. DH always wants me to keep them saying he’ll eat them. In 20 years I have never seen him eat a snickers. I used to let them sit in the candy bag for a year and then pitch them when a new batch rolled around at Halloween.
