Yet, you stayed on the phone with her the whole time. You crossed the line.

She is in a serious relationship and I am not sure how her bf will fell if he finds out that his gf spent 45 mins talking to her ex husband.

How do I nicely tell her that she crossed a line? Nothing romantic or sexual was said but I don't it's appropriate for her to be telling about her life because not only I don't care, but it's annoying.

Why didn't you just get off the phone while the conversation was going on? "OMG Larla, we've been on the phone for 15 minutes -- I have to go. Good talking with you. Bye."

You also crossed a line. That wasn't just her.

I'm remarried and talk to my ex from time to time. My wife hates it. She really does.

You're the one dating a divorced person with kids. You either acknowledge that they're in each other's lives forever or you date someone who doesn't have such entanglements.

Folks, 45 mins? Come on now. They clearly still have a strong bond and it's a slippery slope.

And why would the ex wife talks to him about her personal life? It's weird as f**k

They have kids together. You sound insecure.

OP it's normal.

Couple of years ago I went through s serious health scare and we thought it was the end. My ex wife couldn't stop crying. She even texted me that she loved me. She ended breaking up with her boyfriend during that period. Now she wasn't crying because she wanted us to get back together. And we had a horrible divorce. In fact even post divorce we were still arguing every other day. But at the end of the day at one point in time we were deeply in love.

I'm picturing John Updike in the afterlife reading this thread and laughing his head off. People were a lot less uptight in the 1970s.
