Not surprising. GA is a big step up from RL. Some of the RL teams are very bad and kids are leaving to new GA teams if given a chance.
GA is not that far from RL. It is RL in GA mask
There are a few good RL teams and there are some good RL players but GA is significantly better as a league.
Significantly? Do we actually have results of ARL RL, PWSA, VSA, LMVSC, Valor, or VYSC vs GA clubs to be able to make this determination? Let’s slow your roll until you can support those claims. Might be time for a GA v RL showcase. Otherwise, this is all just nonsense speculation. I bet the RL teams will step up to join this competition- will the GA? Doubt it. Then they can’t make these wild claims.
For the 2011 age group if you average the rankings for GA (MA South) and VA RL this is what you get.
GA = 399
RL = 1163
Highest Ranked Team
GA - CISC = 75
RL - Arl = 148
Lowest Ranked Team
GA - TSJ = 1010
RL - Herndon = 2886
Feel free to pick an age group and do the same.
And the top players on the 2011 Arl RL team is already trying out at other clubs so that gap will widen.

The RL season is already over. If your kid has any thoughts about playing after HS, I’d get them out to a GA practice (unless your ECNL team is pulling them up), instead of trying to convince others - but mainly yourself - that NVA, SYC, etc are ‘skirrred’ of Valor and Vienna.
What do RL teams do in the winter and spring to train?
