I wouldn't say that the "most serious" players go to to Military Road. they are deadly serious, but I know plenty of 2027 players and families at other local schools (Landon, for example) who are equally serious - some would say that the take themselves too seriously. But SJC does get the prize for the HIGHEST NUMBER of serious players. I don't know how Coach Speaks does it, but he has a knack for collecting way more players than could ever see the field.
Significant factors are cost of tuition, relatively low academic admission requirements, relatively easy academic curriculum, and a demonstrated success of sending lax bros to very strong colleges. It's a pretty good formula.
