Who has the responsibility to determine that? What if this guy presented as completely normal and trustworthy? What if someone is as stable as can be and then has a psychotic episode? What if someone is a charming in-control sociopath who can fool anyone, including a salesman looking to earn his wages in the Walmart gun department? What do you say then? "Oooops! Sorry, kids are dead. Walmart guy's bad." You are part of the problem if you voted for this. The blood is on your hands.

Was it less disturbing when a classroom of Sandy Hook Elementary school kindergarteners were gunned down 14 years ago? This country refuses to get its guns under control. The USA has a level of violence that far exceeds any other advanced economy.

The problem in our individualistic society is that no one is willing to say "That guy is a psycho/pervert/freak and needs to be watched like a hawk." Instead it's "you do you!" Evil walks among us and we can't deny it even if the media doesn't want us to think about it. They want us to think of this like a bad tornado, just something that happens.

The problem of mass shootings at schools and other congregate settings and our political system's apathy in response to the problem was very well established long before Trumplethinskin descended his escalator and the first red hat was stitched in a Chinese factory.

Good thing Montgomery county isn’t a hotbed for these types of people. Makes me feel so much more assured /s. but I certainly hope our Catholic k-8 keeps the doors locked from now on

Doesn’t matter whether you like or hate Trump, doesn’t matter what your religious affiliation is, this tragic on so many levels. I have 2 kids in high school and I can’t even process the grief these families are going through. Two little kids dead because we as a society value guns ( therefore money) over lives of our children. This country sickens me.

I won't "take a breath" and wait. Yes, I blame MAGA. And the NRA. And Republicans. And anyone who every voted for them. You put the gun in a psycopath's hands. If it weren't for you, he would not have had a gun.

Real life is not like a movie. Most people are going to hesitate, get nervous, or panic in these situations. That is not a reliable option.

I am confident if I had a gun sitting in church with my child and someone started shooting, I would f*ucking shoot back. My adrenaline is pumping just thinking about it. And I say this as a 40 some year old woman with no disposition to violence. Now ideally, neither of us would have guns, but alas, this is the type of country we choose to live in apparently.

He was outside of the building and fired through windows. Had blocked escape doors

How did he know the school would be having mass at that time?
