Princeton only has REA, not ED.

Did she at least apply EA to UVA? It’s a public and they’re EA isn’t binding so she could have applied in the early round UVA EA- but not UVA ED. Waiting to RD there would be dumb.

Deferred then waitlisted Princeton REA, but accepted RD at Yale, Duke, UPenn, Brown, Georgetown, and some others. Enrolled at Duke.

Was she in-state or out-of-state for UVA? And was she at a public or private high school? The second question may not be relevant but I’m just curious. Thanks.

DD’s friend used ED for Princeton and was deferred. Was rejected at UVA and is attending PSU. Based on her numbers and school involvement I definitely think she would have been admitted to UVA had she applied early there.

They aren't denied. They are rejected for who knows what reason but space is limited.
