Please no old spice. That’s for the 75+ crowd.

Why does anyone do this? I have driven carpool with boys who reek of cologne. It’s 🤮🤮🤮.

Take a shower and wear proper deodorant.

OP: Does your son want to wear a perfume ?

Why not wait until it's time for an aftershave ?

+100%.

Isn't cologne a gay thing ?

Yeah, all the teen boys who wear cologne are gay. All of them. That’s exactly right.

I was, and am, serious. I do not mean to be rude, but cologne for men isn't typical; seems popular among gay men.

Is that Axe body spray and wash still a thing? Remember all the flat brim Affliction wearing Jersey Shore guys and wanna-be-rap-stars loving that stuff years ago.

After several trips to the men’s cologne section of department stores, my 13 year old son chose Versace Eros. He hadn’t worn it much in the summer because I told him he’d attract bugs, but he’ll wear a small spray to school.

My son finally was interested in showering regularly and grooming when he turned 13. He really likes the supposedly “natural” scented men’s products like Dr Squatch and method for men. He’ll use the same scent of body wash, lotion and shampoo for the layered scent (no cologne needed).

All I can think of is the time in junior high when a classmate’s bottle of Polo cologne fell out of his locker and broke. The whole hallway reeked!

Fairly sure it was Polo, before Drakkar Noir was “it”.

And fragrance prices now are so high!

Just buy a really small bottle and tell him one spray is plenty.

Make sure he can pronounce those super healthy ingredients first.

+1000

Nothing smells worse than a teenage boy who sprayed himself down with dude perfume because he was afraid he had a bit of body odor.

My 13yo son has asked for “choco musk”. Apparently it’s a thing. I was hoping to avoid all the toxic fumes that fill the bedrooms of my daughter and her friends.

Scented anti-perspirant or deodorant is more usual than cologne - for HS boys at least. Old Spice classic is a good place to start.
