I think this behavior happens more when men marry down creating a power imbalance, so they are free to be a jackals The thing is those women never really fit in to begin with.

No need for pity. I think even a smart man who doesn't live his powerful wife would think twice maybe many times before they do something that would kill their NW and seriously limit their social standing.

Agree with this and we’re actually seeing a trend at our club where the woman/wife is joining as the member as opposed to the husband.
