When DS was little, he and his best friend did so much together that his friend called me "Mom 2" and DS called his mom "Mom 2".
Agree with the rest: totally normal. On the Kibbutz, all the children grew more attached to the women who cared for them day to day. Don’t worry: no one ever replaced their real mommies.

I don't think it's cute and I would take a closer look at why this person is collecting children, especially when she has so many of her own.

So you have very little kids? There is nothing normal about this. Even my younger kid, at 15, would not want a parent organizing events and staying with them. No, they do not call another parent mom. So many strange things going on here. My kids would not want to hang in this group.
Dp. That was a Mean Girls movie reference. Amy Pohler played the "cool mom" and that was her big line.

So you have very little kids? There is nothing normal about this. Even my younger kid, at 15, would not want a parent organizing events and staying with them. No, they do not call another parent mom. So many strange things going on here. My kids would not want to hang in this group.

The kids are just showing some connection to and little bit of appreciation to an adult. Like a nick name A couple of my kids friends call me extra mom. And also as in “you’re such a mom” with eye roll factor.
