But for those of you just tuning into this terrible story, Key was instrumental in the cover-up. She buried the report on Beidelman's abuse, retaliated against the investigator, participated in altering the records to deceive the public and the State of Maryland, and committed perjury.

I have no idea, none, how she still has a job with MCPS. If any of the rest of us were caught fraudulently altering reports during a public investigation, in any sector, I cannot imagine we'd still be employed.

I heard she is not keeping her 250K salary and will now make a salary typical of a coordinator. I also heard she was "placed" and did not have to interview for this position. I know someone in HR who heard about her placement and just started laughing. He said she was useless in her HR position. What a joke.

Joel appealed his firing from MCPS. One of the reasons he gave on why he disputes his termination is because he boosted students achievement.

His address as of July 23 is in Dumfries, VA. Coincidentally a couple miles from a rehab center. Hopefully he is getting the help he needs.
