This or dye their hair pink or blue. Just signifies that you are probably a single cat lady.

The toxoplasmosis brain worms from the cats making them all look alike?

Actually, I had really long hair and then I got this haircut cause I was sort of sick of men hitting on me and they don’t hit on women with short hair.

No flames. Why do you like it?

I think it looks good on me and it’s easy to take care of. I am white ethnic with very curly hair and my facial features are kind of angular, so romantic curls a la Amy Irving aren’t for me. A severe geometric haircut showcases my curls in a way that doesn’t look unkempt. It also suits my general style.

I also think my barber does a very good job. I am 52, live in NYC, and from time to time young fashionable guys stop me on the street asking who cuts my hair.

Hmm. I’d try growing it out. I think soft curls with an angular face would work very well. A severe cut with an angular (severe) facial structure is too, well, severe.

No need for projecting. Young and trendy people have hairstyles different from those the 50 somethings on DCUM find acceptable.

Depends on the person. I know a couple middle aged women with hair like this and it looks edgy on them.

Because they are screaming “look at me.”

quite the opposite - she's in her IDGAF phase.

I hope I’m in this phase for the rest of my life. It’s glorious.

I’ve only ever seen this on gen x women who it makes them look edgy and cool. It doesn’t work.
