JFC it's not rocket science, people. Use your words.

1. "Larla, comments like this make me uncomfortable."

2. Change the subject. Weather, your kids, a new pot roast recipe. Whatever.

3. "How did the two of you meet again?" (Get her talking about herself/them without it being about how hot he is.)

I would just agree and say that we are lucky we married men who stayed so hot. Then maybe tell a story about when I caught another woman checking out DH.

Lol right? I'd much rather hear about someones happy marriage than their woes.

I have a couple friends who do this because they are generally effusive, outspoken, not “buttoned up” people and that’s the way they talk. I think it’s just one way they show they appreciate their spouse. I’m more reserved, myself, but I love my outgoing friends who provide a lot of energy and fun!

At some point I'll have saggy skin, wrinkly balls, etc ...Is she then going to leave me for the next younger hot man lol?

Do you not think your wife is still hot after being married a few years? Just because we age doesn't mean we have to lose attraction to our spouse.

My mom says this all of the time about my dad. It doesn’t seem weird to me. I just tell her that she picked well, and agree that he is really good-looking.

Every single time we are together, the wife seems to go out of her way to make comments to me about how attractive she finds her husband. Like this last time, we were just standing watching the kids play and she looked over at her husband and mine talking across the pool and she’s like, “My husband is so f’ing hot.”

It’s so awkward. What does she want from me? Does she want ME to agree he’s hot? I don’t think he’s hot. He’s traditionally attractive, but I don’t find him “hot” and if I did, I sure wouldn’t broadcast it!

Other times she’ll be like, “Adam is such a DILF” or “Look at my sexy husband.”

These two are otherwise career professionals, UMC, especially her; she comes from money. It always sort of shocks me and feels so abrupt and out of place. I DO NOT think she’s suggesting anything like swinging, before anyone mentions that.

So what DOES she want from me?

How should I handle this going forward?

She's insecure and wants validation.
Or maybe she wants to find out if you find him attractive? Does she have a blue porch light or upside down pineapple on her vehicle?

I wouldn’t take offense to it. Maybe just say something along the lines of, “it’s so awesome you are still attracted to each other/have such a great relationship/what a nice looking family.” If you are both funny people (I’m guessing OP is kind of uptight though?) and close enough, I would joke about it “he’s not as hot as you, friend!”

Ohhh she's a validation seeker. Can't stand women like this. I purposely ignore their remarks.

Anonymous wrote:Good for her! Appreciating your spouse doesn’t have to stop when you are married for 364 days or something.

365 days a year you can appreciate your spouse and keep the cringe comments about how hot he is to yourself

Whenever I read posts from people who can’t find friends, I think about suggestions like these. How on earth do you people with no social skills function in the world?

I was just thinking similar thing! Who keeps giving this staring advice to handle people?

Gen Z likes to stare. It’s how they express themselves. It’s weird.

Damn it. Came here to suggest just that.

I’d just be like “huh. If you say so.”
