It's June 1, the corn in Maryland is ankle high. It's not fresh.

No, it's from somewhere that it's in season. Which is not local.

Same for farmers market saps who are being scammed by wholesalers selling foreign produce.
Some of it is real, but when it's completely out of season and has a sticker that says "Product of Guatemala" it's *probably* not local.
