I have to concur this - - I myself see this vehicle often (as well as other Kias) which have made me confused since I always thought of Kias as kinda low-end cars.
But I am seeing a lot more of them then say…even five yrs ago.
I notice the newer vehicles now have a modern, sleek design which may be why they are becoming more popular w/motorists.
Could the sleek new design as well as the newer KIA emblem be simply lipstick 💄 on a pig or do you think these cars are now built better, than say a Honda or a Toyota even??

It's a great car, but it's a cheap Honda knockoff. We seriously debated getting one before getting our Pilot—but decided Kia's track record of quality wasn't as good as Honda's and that's why there's a price difference.
I mean, if this is how you view cars, then your Honda Pilot is a knockoff of the Ford Explorer, which is a knockoff of the Chevy Suburban, which is a knockoff of a Jeep. Americans made SUVs first.
The extended Ford Expedition is more like the Suburban, but before that, there was the Ford Excursion (larger than the Explorer). Jeep Wagoneer/ Explorer were the pioneers, Suburban in the big size. You're also forgetting the GMC Jimmy, the original Chevy Blazer, Jeep Cherokee, LR Defender & Discovery 1 in the off-road category before SUVs turned into hybrid vehicles for people who wanted the space without having a minivan. Several of these were actually body-on-frame 4x4 vehicles before they became rounded-off crossovers.

It's not the flaky Korean brand from 20 years ago. They did a ton of work to improve the quality and reputation of their brand. The Telluride is a great buy for the price. I remember during the pandemic when demand exploded and used Tellurides went for higher prices than when they were brought for new. Kids are also not as expensive to fix as luxury brands like Mercedes, BMW, etc. People who are affluent tend to be good with money. They look at value for what theyre spending on. The Telluride is good value for the dollar.

• Daewoo
• Hyundai
• KIA
Hyundai used to be popular due to their previous 10 yr full warranties.
I personally prefer Hondas since they breakdown a lot less than their American counterparts.
They have a great resell value where Hyundai and Kia vehicles do not resell very well.
