I've accepted that we lost. That does not erase the fact that Republicans are disgusting. Hitler won. He was disgusting too. Mussolini won. He was disgusting too. You are what you are. Yes, you want, but you are a pretty horrible group of people.

And nobody with any sense is arguing that poor people are subsidizing the wealthy, given the progressive nature of out tax system and given that welfare is funded largely by taxes received from the productive earning class. It would be a rare case where someone receiving federal social welfare benefits is paying more in taxes than the value of what the government is giving them.

In trump's first term, they said 16 million people would lose health insurance because they repealed the individual mandate. Some time later, CBO changed the estimate to 6 million, and later The New York Times said it wasn't a big deal.
I think the Medicaid estimate will be similar.
