On some days Texas generates 78% of its electricity from wind and solar. In 2013 Texas generates 1% of its electricity from solar by 2022 it was 6%. This year it is 11.7%. Texas was planing a 150,000 megawatt solar plant. Guess that is dead.

Texas generates 28% of its electricity from wind. They were planning on doubling both wind and solar production by 2035.

It’s going to cost a lot of money to shut these plants down.

32 of the 37 EV and EV battery manufacturing plants are in deep red states. About 2/3 are online and the others are in the works. All will be shut down with this bill. 24 billion and 200,000 jobs going away.

Because once you build it, the energy is free.

Turbines and solar panels don't last forever.

The person means there is no cost of extraction: the sun shines, the wind blows, at no cost (whether or not you use/take advantage of them.) But let's keep boiling the planet instead.
