I don't agree with everything the Gates Foundation has ever done, and they are known to be kind of a nightmare employer in the NGO space, but they have been more impactful on the African Continent than almost any other political or nonpolitical actor.

Moreover, this donation is coming at a time when the USA has just....abdicated its role in global health and hunger relief, leaving millions to die.

If you don’t want him to spend all that money in Africa then I guess you should support much higher tax rates for wealthy folks. Why do I suspect that there is more than a little hypocrisy among the loudest critics?

NP. No one talks about their fertility rate. Someone brought up hunger in Sudan. I am sorry but why have like 5 or 6 children per woman if there is so much hunger? Can someone please explain? I do not think Bill Gates $ 200 billion will fix the problem.
