Ran your little list through AI and this was the result:

Slammed the border shut: Exaggerated. Border security tightened with executive actions and increased Border Patrol funding, but crossings not fully stopped.

Deporting illegals: True but overstated. Large-scale deportation efforts started, focusing on criminals, using National Guard and military assets, but millions not yet deported.

Lowest inflation in 4 years: Unclear. Recent data shows declining oil prices aiding inflation control, but no specific confirmation of lowest in 4 years.

Military breaking recruiting records: No evidence. No recent reports confirm military recruitment exceeding past records.

Brokered peace in Pakistan and Africa: False. No documented peace agreements brokered by Trump in Pakistan or Africa.

Broke Iran nuclear sites and forced ceasefire: Partially true. U.S. strikes hit Iran’s nuclear sites, but damage overstated; ceasefire fragile, not fully forced.

Got rid of DEI: Partially true. Some federal DEI programs scaled back, but no comprehensive elimination across all sectors.

Forced NATO to pay more than double: Exaggerated. NATO allies agreed to increase defense spending to 5% GDP goal, but not doubled contributions.

Tariffed ripoff nations and flooded treasury with hundreds of billions: Overstated. Tariffs imposed on trade-deficit nations, but revenue estimates vary, not confirmed at hundreds of billions.

Pick any one and we can discuss further to see whether it's factual or not. What you really meant to say is that Trump makes you feel better. Whether he accomplished what you said he did is another matter.

If Trump says it, it is true! Never question!

I’m a 5th grade teacher. I spend so much time teaching work ethic, kindness, respect, and civil discourse. Every time I hear him speak, I think of my students, current and former. He is so incredibly rude to everyone who doesn’t bend the knee. It’s unbelievable, and I think we are underestimating the effect this has on our kids. Whether we want him to be or not, he is setting an example for our kids. No matter what those kids or family members say or think of him, the fact remains. We have taught our kids that you can be so incredibly vile and still rise to the top.

People try to justify not caring about this by saying that his personality doesn’t matter and has nothing to do with his politics and leadership. This is someone whose words and actions can literally start a war. Of course it matters.

Our kids have been through a lot. Due to internet and social media, they face challenges and influences that are beyond our comprehension. We need to do better at electing and elevating leaders who are the type of adults we want our kids to be.

If THIS boorish, bullying action didn't lose him supporters, there's no hope.

This has been debunked repeatedly. Refresh your Trump propaganda talking points. Trump has been peddling that BS for years.

So you’re saying “MSM” is replaced. With exactly what?

I agree with pp. A large portion of this country no longer rely on MSM for news. We have seen time and time again that they are wrong - intentionally or unintentionally - and we now pay closer attention to independent journalists who actually do the work that MSM USED to do. People like Natasha Bertrand are pretty much ignored because she seems to rely on sources that have exposed her incompetence over and over.
I look at many of the journalists who were part of the MSM during Trump's first term and they are now gone.
Jim Acosta, Mehdi Hasan, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, Terry Moran, Joy Reid..... just a few listed here.

I will add that Fox often has twice as many viewers as their closest competitors. As much crap as people here say about Fox, there is a reason they have a much greater viewership.......their reporting is far more accurate and thorough than others.

All the MAGAs watch Fox while the liberals and independents are divided amongst many news sources (CNN, ABC, CBS, BBC, MSNBC etc). So the MAGA viewers are concentrated on one network and all others dispersed. That's why the viewer numbers look the way they do.

Does not change the point. Factually, Fox News IS the MSM and factually, Fox News alters or slants their own reporting in ways the right accuses of the "MSM"

So can the president of my hospital system talk like this? He is under a lot of stress too. If stress is an excuse, he can insult nurses who question him or patients and families, right?

Stupidest argument ever.

So we should tell kids they need to be nice now. But when they grow up, they can be as mean as they want?

You can’t see where it is bad practice to call those people with nukes and military stupid? And go on tv saying they don’t know what the F they are doing?

"What would an elementary school student think?" is not my first concern when the US is dealing with national security issues. That is a bizarre metric.

It is my first concern when I think of National security issues and not increasing our odds of being targeted. Diplomacy first, always. And it is also my first concern when I consider whether a candidate would unite US citizens, but we have Trump who talks about fake stories of Haitians eating pets, blames DEI for a national tragedy plane crash when they are still literally pulling bodies from the water, and more.

He is the most disgusting president, his policies are horrible, his crypto schemes or Signal gate would tie the right's head in knots if it were a Democrat (admit it, but you will not). He has weakened the US dollar and made us an untrustworthy trade partner because he behaves like a toddler and nothing he says can be truated, literally nothing. He is a toddler, a disgrace, an embarrassment.

If you want to say that we probably should not have attacked Iran on the grounds that it doesn't further our national security, I would be quite receptive to that logic. But the idea that the main concern in this entire episode is how things looked to OP's 5th graders, yeah, I can't endorse that kind of thinking.

The idea that Trump is excused from talking the way he does because of National security threats is a joke (what? This is nonsense!). Nor is it supported by history of like, any president who came before him regardless of politics. Plus, if anything, his bluster makes us look like a bully and increases odds that the US is a target. Yes, his toddler style talk is embarrassing and yes, being a role model matters at the highest form of government and leadership.

Frankly, it makes him look unintelligent and weak. His immediate response to criticism isn't to counter with actual facts or knowledge, it is just to insult. He makes the US look weak.

DP to add, only six months in and 14 percent of Trump voters disapprove of him in the latest Yougov poll. He is underwater on every issue topic except immigration, and he cannot hold onto that forever. So while you may be fine with his divisive toddler temper tantrum rhetoric, you are in the minority of US voters. Midterms will be brutal.
