My own two are:
1. Lack of an European style mass transit network. Love being able to hop on trains feeding into regional trains feeding into local transits to get to most places. Switzerland is amazing in this regard.
2. While doesn't affect me directly, cost of higher education is clearly an issue for the country, so will let this be the number 2.
Switzerland is about the size of Vermont. Most Americans could walk across that.
Most Americans are overweight and have a hard time walking across a Walmart parking lot.
