I’m going to one and possibly two No Kings protests in Montgomery County. One in the afternoon is less than a mile from my house. There are so many planned!

Do you know anybody going?
I know what you mean - we are absolutely going to be avoiding crazy LWNJ protesters.

We don’t live in DC but the suburbs and think the protests everywhere are going to be just as disruptive. We are telling our kids, or trying to convince our teens, to do the same. It’s not the peaceful protests we are worried about but the crazies on both sides.
Probably no one, unless they live downtown. What do you imagine the Leisure World protest will be like?

Anonymous wrote:I don't think it's going to be bad. I saw on social media that they have ads posted all over trying to hire seat fillers for the parade so that the area in the line-of-sight to the VIP area looks full.
They are offer $1000 paid through Crypto for seat fillers. I think they need to know their audience. My MAGA relatives don't trust Crypto and think it's akin to Monopoly money.

Then why would you post on DC URBAN moms?
Anonymous wrote:I don't think he cares about crowds for this one. This is dictator stuff. He wants "his" army to march past him and salute him on his birthday. He loves all this money and effort and pageantry... all for HIM.

I'll be avoiding the parade area but otherwise going about my weekend.
You could also not pay me to live in DC and I grew up here. Arlington, is safer. The City of Falls Church is where you want to be if you have kids.
