Look, it’s stupid we went so long without enforcing our borders. People will get hurt in the meantime. Did you hear the guy on Jeopardy last night who was barred from Taiwan for a year because he overstayed his travel visa by 2 hours? Why is the US expected to take whoever comes?
Because we are a country founded on immigration. When your white immigrant ancestors came over, it was just fine and dandy. But now that non-white people are coming over, you suddenly have a problem with it.

ICE has picked up multiple people who were in the process of following the rules though. And do you really know which people who came here seeking asylum—legally— were treated appropriately for their status? I sure don’t.
lol you can't be "in the process" of following the rules, that means You ARE NOT following the rules.
Saying someone is "in the process" of following the rules kind of misses the point—if you're not following the rules yet, then you're not actually following them. It's like saying someone was in the process of obeying the speed limit by slowing down after they were already speeding. Or that someone was following the law by taking a victim to the hospital after committing a crime. That's just not how it works. If the law was broken, then there are consequences.

The problem with what this administration is doing is that they are cancelling the lawful presence (including parole, TPS, applicants for asylum or other relief, and others) of people who are in the US, thus rendering them illegal, and then deporting them.
This is both unconscionable and directly targeting people who are trying to follow the (crazy!) immigration rules of the U.S. It makes me sick.
First of all - that is all on Biden. He totally corrupted parole and TPS
Secondly, they can choose to leave on their own and have a chance to come back. There is an app for that!

You don’t claim ‘asylum’ fleeing for your life after traveling through several other countries that are safer than several us cities but don’t pay as well.. These are economic refugees using a loophole that was supposed to be for war orphans and has been exploited by US businesses. We need a work permit system that won’t depress wages. And anyone who thinks the under the table labor hasn’t depressed wages in the low skilled jobs sector is just clueless about blue collar workers.
But Congress hasn’t been able to fix it for decades. So trump is using every loophole he can to just shut it down completely.. It’s probably the number one reason he was elected (I didn’t vote for him) so we need to be honest about who is really not being democratic here.
Republican presidents and members of congress are why the immigration system has never been overhauled. In the end, Republican constituents could never get around to giving legal (non-citizenship) status to the workers that entered the United States illegally. So they let the problem fester into what we have now: politicized paramilitary raids.
Oh please. It is group affiliated with democrats who are funding what is going on in LA.
That is some fantasy world you live in.
Have you always America and its core values or were you only recently lobotomized and radicalized?
Do some research:
One of the groups leading anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles is a taxpayer-funded activist organization with ties to the Democratic Party, while another has links to the Chinese Communist Party.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) — which received tens of millions of dollars in government grants during the Biden administration — staged a rally last week to denounce Immigration and Customs Enforcement arresting illegal migrants across the city, including those convicted of heinous crimes.
Protests against ICE have escalated since then, with more than 1,000 rioters taking to the streets, assaulting immigration officers, slashing tires and defacing public buildings, the Department of Homeland Security said, prompting President Trump to call in around 2,000 National Guard troops Sunday to quell the violence.
According to financial records obtained by DataRepublican, CHIRLA received nearly $34 million in government grants, mostly from the state of California, in the fiscal year ending June 2023, a jump from the $12 million it received the previous year.
Another group that was behind some of last week’s protests is the Marxist Party for Socialism and Liberation, which played a part in virulent past anti-Israel campus protests at Columbia University and which was once associated with suspected DC terrorist Elias Rodriguez.
PSL has ties to the Chinese Communist Party through funding from socialist billionaire Neville Singham and his wife, Jodie Evans, founder of activist group Code Pink, according to a 2024 report by the Network Contagion Research Institute. Singham sank millions of dollars into backing the groups after selling his software company, ThoughtWorks, for $785 million in 2017.

The FBI is investigating the groups who are funding this nonsense.

Anonymous wrote:You can say illegal immigrants aren't following the rules, but the rules have been "rules" for decades in this country. Thousands of businesses give a wink and a nod and hire illegal workers. Our economy has totally incorporated these people to the point that many industries face extreme worker shortages and price increases if they are all deported.
So we've been sending very mixed messages to non-US workers. The law on the books says one thing, but every other signal says something else. And you cannot merely blame Democrat cities, as there are plenty of immigrants working southern farms, rural packing plants, and other jobs in "conservative" areas.
Blame the immigrants if you want, but you're fooling yourself if you think America wasn't in on it.

This immigrants are part of our communities. They prepare our food, build our homes, take care of our landscaping, replace our roofs, clean our businesses and homes, etc…
Brutally ripping them away from our communities is wrong and just plain evil.

She followed her husband and kids here when he came legally - and then he ditched her before doing her paperwork. Now she's probably going to be deported. Really awful.

We know this - Biden dumped them into the U.S. like sand out of a truck, now they have to be removed grain by grain.
It was all intentional.
Remove them with due process. It’s the American way (or used to be). And imagine if Trump hadn’t killed the bipartisan immigration bill. We could have finally had immigration reform but because he wanted his political issue and to be able to create dramatic scenes for propaganda for feeble minded Americans, he killed bipartisan reform!
What part of the fact that Biden purposely flooded the country with illegal aliens because he knew it would take forever to process them out do you not understand? If you can even track them down.
And the border bill that went down in flames would not have helped. It would have continued many of the same bad policies that encouraged illegal immigration in the first place. Immigration at unsustainable levels, funding NGOs, sanctuary cities. No thank you. I voted for border and immigration enforcement.
You are so brainwashed. The bipartisan bill was championed by some of the most right wing senators. Just because Trump and his maga social media army told you something doesn’t make it true.
Somehow I am the brainwashed one because I can see through the madness that is Democratic immigration "reform"? Remember, President Reagan got burned on this once. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Because we are not a shithole and we have laws against kidnapping people and deporting citizens. If this moron in the WH would follow the constitution and the laws on the books it would be a much different story.
I haven’t heard of citizens being deported.
