100%
Gen Z and Millennials are sick of ancient politicians who have no idea what the real world is like because they've been in office for so long and have accumulated so much wealth. The younger generations want youthful representation. Mamdani walked the length of Manhattan on Saturday, campaigning and making stops along the way and live streamed the whole thing. You think a geriatric candidate could do that? I lived in NYC in my 20s and I did that maybe twice.

That's not the narrative anyone is saying. It's that he's standing up for the working class and not taking big money unlike Cuomo who's basically speaking for corporate interests and takes money from the same donors as Trump.
He literally is rich and grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth with rich, well-connected parents. It's a show.

Not necessarily. Most nyc Jews are not rich fat cats on Wall Street but orthodox welfare recipients who may benefit from the socialist nyc

He may actually do something to change the corruption in NYC. I hope he succeeds.

Elect this guy and just continue to allow the GOP to win elections. The political ads write themselves
I don’t see why. We have all been saying free and fair primaries. Everyone is tired of the Andrew Cuomos of the world. I’m not a New Yorker so my opinion doesn’t matter much here, But nationally we are probably going to see some establishment dems get chopped.
Agree - I don't like a lot about Mamdani but there's a reality here that Democrats need to wake up to and confront. Voters are sick and tired of lackluster corporate establishment Democrats.
Wow -- glad I don't live in NY. If these are the two D choices it says a lot about the status of the Democratic party and not in a good way.
