I think someone suggested a pellet gun for children in another thread where children were going into the yard and making noise.

Don't worry OP, people are killing off birds at a rapid pace by using landscaping services who spray for weeds. One day, your yard will be completely devoid of all living things.

Definitely don't shoot it with a water-based gel blaster; scaring it away without (probably) hurting it and having the pellets shrink and biodegrade would be illegal.
