Middling students don’t take 11 AP classes.
Yes, they do. You sound like the kind of person who says a 1300 is impressive because it's "96th percentile" or whatever it is.
UGA is 1500+
It says here a quarter of the class is coming in with below a ~1200. And the 75th percentile is 1410, which is the 25th percentile at UVA and W&M.

Put down the pipe.
Look up this year’s stats, idiot.
Still 1300-1470. 1470 being the median at UVA and W&M.

Again I implore you to put down the crack.
NP. I don’t have any dog in this fight, but you need to stop with the “put down the pipe/crack.” It wasn’t funny the first time; it is juvenile and does a disservice to your argument. Saying it a third time is pathetic. Not only that, who is referencing crack, grandma? There is a way to make your argument and not sound like a fifth grade boy from the eighties.

UVA and W&M have been test optional for half a decade, it’s impossible to know what their true bottom 25th percentile actually is at this point.
+100
So glad you pointed this out. There is a poster who continually brays about the test scores at UVA and W&M - and they're TEST OPTIONAL. Who knows what their true bottom scores actually are.
But who cares if other stats indicate it’s a strong student?
The SAT is not a barometer of a student’s ability or future success.
It is truly an optional metric.

And they are now having a great time and getting a strong education at a T50 school. Good for them!

My kid got into UGA early action with a 1360
NP. This year? In state or out? My daughter was deferred to regular decision round with much higher scores so this surprises me.
But your kid got in right?

Not all adults. Most of us are just happy to support our kids and our friends’ kids and we don’t care about the prestige of the college. We know it doesn’t matter in the long run.
But I agree that there’s a percentage of posters on this particular site who think “top” schools matter.
