FVU and top quality players in same sentence.. lol..Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:People have made comments since tryouts began about how FVU coaches can't develop, can't identify and can't attract talent. They are retaining all the current players so how can they expect to pull the results out of the trash can? It's going to be another horrible year.
The ones that stayed had no (or little) chance of getting into any other ECNL National that’s the reason they stayed, the ones that left were their best players and got into either another ECNL National team or another top club in the area. And I guarantee that they didn’t find replacement players for the top quality players that left, why would any good quality player go there FROM another ECNL National team.
And the good players that left were not replaced by the same quality players, who in their right mind would

There was a huge thread last year, going to bump it up
Do it! Also, Rec parents don’t pay $5,000 a year for ECNL soccer, not including hotels and flights.

With who?
Maybe 2 ECNL clubs combined make a decent club
Must of forgot that FVU is the result of two ECNL clubs. McLean Union and Fairfax Brave. Did any teams improve after the merger?
Same leadership as BRAVE same results, NO MATTER how many “feeder” clubs they get.
Well there is an advantage to all the feeder clubs. With all the field space they have now they should be able to host a pretty good tournament. That’s a guaranteed money maker.
Feeder clubs use their field for their tournaments. The relationship with the feeder clubs is not even there. The feeder clubs don’t want FVU guest players, they already have 16+ kids in the roster.
Also they only do 2 tournaments, one local and one ECNL event.
You’ll be better off playing with the feeder club, more games and more tournaments, and smaller roster
How many of the feeder clubs run their own tournament?
Valor has some god awful rec all stars tournament called the fiesta bowl or something like that.
Wasn’t that like a one time thing? Do they host that every year?
3rd year — https://www.virginiavalorfc.org/fathersdayfiesta
