This. My state, for example, has proven itself completely unable to effectively manage the administrative tasks on its end; and many elderly and disabled will struggle to comply and will find their benefits terminated. The other population is adults served through Medicaid expansion. I work in the substance use treatment field with very clinically unstable low income folks who have little to no family supports - they all want to work and work makes them overincome quickly.

What is going to happen when chronically mentally ill people who are not able to hold jobs, even when on their medications, are no longer able to receive their medications? What is going to happen???

It's not a Medicaid rule. Certain states have filial laws, rarely enforced, though that might now increase.

Yep adopted a kid with special needs the government gives you money for that too.
I don't have any problem with that! In fact, I hope the federal government provides more incentives for families - even rich families - to adopt special needs kids. This is actually great!
